Q: When is the 14th Annual Lyle’s Myles Race?

A: Saturday, October 4, 2008.

Q: What time does the Race start?

A: Registration and all activities open at 9:00 am at Esther Short Park, at the corner of 6th and Columbia in downtown Vancouver. The 7.3K Race begins at 10:00 am.

Q: What forms of payment can I collect for pledges?

A: Cash, Check or Credit Card donations are all equally welcome. If you are mailing your pledges to us, we ask that you not mail the cash, but write a personal check for all cash collected.

Q: Are their any prizes for collecting pledges?

A: Yes! When you collect $100+ in donations you will receive a Lyle’s Myles t-shirt. Raise $250+ and you will also get a Red Ribbon Team baseball cap!

Turn in your donations by September 15th in order to pick up your t-shirt and hat the day of the event. We are also awarding a terrific prize for the individual that raises the most money, and a prize for the team captain whose team raises the most money.

In addition to these prizes, we will be selling raffle tickets the day of the event for an assortment of prizes from local merchants.

Q: When do I need to turn in my registration form and pledge sheet with donations?

A: You can start turning them in immediately and up to the day of the race. There are a few things to keep in mind: Turn in your donations and pledge sheets by September 15th to pick up your t-shirt and hat the day of the event (see above). You can walk your forms and pledges in or mail them to:

Q: How long is this years Race?

A: This years race is 7.3K (4.54 miles). Note, this is a non-certified distance.

Q: What is the Race Route?

A: The race starts by heading north for a few blocks, then loops back to the park. It continues south to the Columbia River, east to Beaches Restaurant, then returns along the Columbia River and back up to Esther Short Park.
